Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating a Mogged account, downloading the app, or using any part of the service, you enter into a binding agreement with Mogged ("we", "us", "the platform"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old. No exceptions.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
• You must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law.
• You must not have been previously banned from Mogged for violating these terms.

Your Account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. That means:

• Keep your login credentials private. We will never ask for your password.
• Use real, recent photos of yourself. Catfishing — using photos of someone else, or heavily filtered/AI-edited images that misrepresent you — is grounds for permanent ban.
• One person, one account. Multi-accounting to manipulate rankings results in all linked accounts being terminated.
• If you suspect your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at security@mogged.site.

Acceptable Use

Mogged is a brutal arena, but it is not lawless. The following behaviours result in immediate suspension or permanent ban:

• Harassment. Targeted abuse, threats, slurs, or organised pile-ons against any user.
• Doxxing. Sharing anyone's real name, address, workplace, social profiles, or other identifying information without consent.
• Minors. Any content depicting, sexualising, or otherwise involving anyone under 18. Reported to authorities, no warning given.
• Impersonation. Pretending to be another real person, public figure, or Mogged staff.
• Manipulation. Vote rigging, bot networks, alt accounts, ELO farming, paid voting groups.
• Illegal activity. Anything that violates the law in your jurisdiction or in the United Kingdom.
• Spam. Mass messaging, promotional content, off-platform recruitment.
• Reverse engineering. Scraping, decompiling, or otherwise extracting data or code from the app.

Content & Rights

Your content stays yours. When you upload photos to Mogged, you retain all ownership and copyright in them.

By uploading, you grant Mogged a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and process your photos solely for the purpose of operating the service — showing them in battles, displaying them on leaderboards, generating PSL calculations. This licence ends when you delete the photo or your account.

You confirm that:

• The photos depict you, taken with your consent.
• You have the right to upload them.
• They do not infringe any third party's rights.

Ratings Are Opinions

If a low rating affects your mental health, log out and talk to someone qualified. The arena is entertainment, not therapy.

Mogged+ Subscriptions

• Mogged+ is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Pricing is shown in your local currency at the point of purchase.
• Auto-renewal is enabled by default and can be turned off in your device's subscription settings.
• Refunds are governed by Apple and Google's policies, not by Mogged directly. Contact them for refund requests.
• Mogged+ features may evolve over time. We will not remove a paid feature without offering equivalent value or a pro-rata refund.
• Cancelling does not delete your account — you simply revert to the free tier at the end of the billing period.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from app settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms, harm other users, or pose a legal risk to the platform. We will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to appeal where the law requires it, but reserve the right to act immediately for severe violations.

Disclaimers & Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accurate ratings, or specific outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mogged's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless your local consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
